Apologia Chemistry Labs

The following links are videos and resources helps for each lab using Exploring Creation with Chemistry by Jay L. Wile.  We are using the 1st edition even though there is a newer edition (2nd edition) available because we can find used copies of the 1st edition at a cheaper price.  Since I like to keep our schooling as frugal as possible, this is one of the ways to save money.  I haven't compared the Table of Contents between the editions so the listing below is based on the 1st edition Table of Contents.

I have created a syllabus/lesson plans using the Exploring Creation with Chemistry.  You can find it HERE.  We haven't used it yet so it may need to be adjusted. Feel free to use it how you see fit for your family.

I need to double check these videos:  HERE, HERE (free homeschool chemistry curriculum),

Module 1:  Measurement and Units
Experiment 1.1:  Air Has Mass (this experiment is slightly different than the book instructions)
Experiment 1.2:  Air Takes Up Space
Experiment 1.3:  Comparing Conversions to Measurements
Experiment 1.4:  The Density of Liquids

Module 2:  Energy, Heat, and Temperature
Experiment 2.1:  Calibrating Your Thermometer
Experiment 2.2:  Measuring the Heat Capacity of a Metal

Module 3:  Atoms and Molecules
Experiment 3.1:  The conservation of Mass (slightly different but a good example)
Experiment 3.2:  Electrical Conductivity of Compounds in Water (slightly different but still great)
Naming Compounds (lecture)

Module 4:  Classifying Matter and its Changes
Experiment 4.1:  Separating a Mixture of Sand and Salt
Experiment 4.2:  Distinguishing Between Chemical and Physical Change (just egg experiment)
